It's Frrrreeezing Cold!

Thanks to all of my followers! I am honestly thrilled to have you on board, and hope to bring some fun things to my blog. Right now it's a freezing -cold 3 degrees with a wind chill in the negatives. I am just soo very tired of this cold weather, as I know many of you are. Whatever happened to global warming?

In the next few days I'm planning to share a give-away here, kinda in celebration of entering the blogging world :) It will be Easter/Spring themed, since I can't wait until the flowers appear and we have some warm breezes, instead of this stark white yucky stuff! Stay warm, and stop back soon!

Well, I'm off and running...

After giving this considerable thought, I've finally decided to launch my blog..whew! I had no idea it would be this difficult! Not being a computer genius by any means I've muddled through, and hope to make this as painless as possible for those of you who might stop in  :)

I suppose as this is my first post I should give a little of my background..I'll try not to bore with details.  I am first of all a wife and mother, grandma and dog-mom.  The initial course I chose for my life was to be a graphic designer, and majored in art in college.  Plans change-I married, had my daughter Jenny, then went back to nursing school, and I've worked in the medical field for the past 30 (gosh!) years.

With my daughter grown and a son of her own, I finally went back to my first love, and opened an etsy shop a year and a half ago. Here I have the chance to create things I love, and I also sell vintage items I might happen upon. My etsy shop can be found here: http://www.sugarmtnmercantile.etsy.com/  I also have a shop on Artfire which I am in the process of setting up right now.  I also occasionally sell on ebay when the spirit moves me :)

Through etsy I have met a wonderfully talented  group of fellow artists and artisans, The Old Farmhouse Gathering team, whom I'm proud to say have taken me in as a member.  They are a source of inspiration, comfort, and the occasional "kick-in-the-heiney" when needed, and I can't say enough about this special group of folks.

Hopefully I will be bringing some fun things to this blog..keeping you up to date with happenings in my shops, my family and whatever craziness I might find myself in next. Thanks for stopping by.
Hugs,
Debbie
